My Addiction

Contributed by dreama on Sunday, 16th November 2003 @ 11:51:51 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

my life seems to be like a dream
if not because of this green smoke screen
the curling of the paper, the ash, and the smoke
is all that makes up this such wonderful toke
the glowing red cherry lighting up the end
almost like a companion, college or friend
and each time i take a subtle, silent draw
i always feel slightly guilty for wanting more
for i have a feeling i might regret later
what my addictions done to me, on the difbralator
but what am i here for, if not to enjoy
the time ive been given. a lost little boy
in a crowd of many, equally as lost, looking
for a way to find meaning, purpose, belonging
so what is there to do to pass the time
that i occupy, and therefore is mine

Revelations - something i wrote months ago

Life as we experience it is the interaction of beings from another place of existence, all making choices and deciding what happens in the story of the lives of others. One massive interactive reality...

good write...you have to take control of your life and find something more better to do and not let this addiction take hold because it makes you think worse things then what they are....just my two cents...sandy

I at one time sooo long ago could have related but I don't like drugs... In any event it was a good write but I must agree with Sandy here.
