Daylight youre still sleeping
Darkness arives you sit alone
On your rooftop weeping
In the cold air on your own
Youre staring out at everything
And nothing at the same time
You dont feel the air, or the cold it brings
A stream of thoughts runs through your mind
A roaring car lures you to reality
You take in the mountains and city lights
You realize youre grateful for mortality
Until your thoughts drift away into the night
You play with the concept of eternity
And what is the meaning of death
While you stare out at the city
No sound, or maybe youre just deaf
Youre looking out at nothing
And you look at everything too
In the air, so cold it stings
And beleive it or not I envy you
The way you sit sit while everyone's sleeping
In the darkness all on your own
On your rooftop no longer weeping
In the bitter air completly alone
