Be still my mind!
No more poems find!
The crank is slow....
Needs greased, 'tis low.....
My "Mind's Eye" exhausted!
Blood shot, and red!
Millions of images
tap dancing in my head!
Finger tips calloused, hard.
Bounced on keyboard, diehard.
Finger nails split!
Misfit, half-wit, dimwit!
This business of rhymmmming
timming, wifffing, woooooing,
whirrrrrling, twirrrrling, currrling,
peeeeking, peeeeeping, sailllling,
reappppping!
I feel like leappping
from a bridge...
Another image as over I go!
Oh, No, a poem that
has to be written down below!

The usual good poetic thinking
------------------------------------------
Your poetic protest is far too late
Your work already sealed your fate,
There ain't no way to stop your do,
whene'er a thought does enter you.
You'll write your write, scream your scream
Not to work is just a dream,
so do your do, hurrah for you.
We'll all enjoy what you produ..

Ha Ha Ha HA....I really like this one! You have a gift dear friend... for I have long given up on laughter and I found it rarely nowadays...but you have given me one..today...at a very opportune time. Anyway nice work. In another sense..less amusedly..I must agree with you...sometimes the gift of peotry can be a curse. I share a similarly malady though it is not the curse of poetry. It is the curse of thought.. I can't seem to stop thinking...literally...everything I see I must try to figure out...it is rather tiring...a kindred spirit in a sense to your suffering...ha ha ha ha ha nice one. |

this is cute - i agree sometimes it is overwhelming and the need to keep writing seems like an obsession - but as long as the words keep comin what can we do.
