What...

Contributed by KJ on Saturday, 15th November 2003 @ 12:08:54 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

If the only thing that you consisted,
was from someone else's dross.
Would you blame all that was existed,
and pray to a figure on a cross?

If the only thing that fascinates you,
is the joy received when you fail.
How you seem to turn so black and blue,
and at the while make you pale.

If the only thing that ever mattered,
was the lies that were multiplied.
And you mend all that they shattered,
to delay the day of your suicide.

If the only thing that you were able to see,
is the misery that you once bestowed.
Should you blame it on your damned apathy,
or what semi-strayed you from the road?

If the only thing that kept you breathing,
was the entirety that you had faith in.
That supposedly will rid you of grieving,
and even dissolve the pain held within.

If the only thing that would even jar,
an ounce of your emotionless corpse.
Is not something that would leave a scar,
but a "thing" that laughed at remorse.

KJ,

Personally I don't see Christianity that way. I am one. But I'm not trying to put on a happy facade or anything. Christianity really does make me complete. Think about it. I have an intimate relationship with the God who made EVERYTHING in the universe.... everything... I know you don't care one bit about my "Jesus rambling", but I do so hear me out......
I don't laugh at others about their faith, even if I do consider it different than my own. Because that's how they base their life. That's how I base my life. So I wish you wouldn't criticise me for my beliefs.
I'm sure if you sincerely gave God a chance and saw the whole picture, you wouldn't have the same attitude.

But whatever. I'm not here to criticise. I just want to say that God cares about you, even if you might not care about him. He cares immensely deep..... you can't image, I can't imagine, no one can imagine how great God's love for you really is.

He loves you.

Take care,
Ellen

Ellen,

Thank you for your comment. Truthfully, I in no way intended it to be an insult, just a personal opinion. I do respect other peoples' religions, in a matter of fact I give them major kudos because they have something they believe in fully. I just find it ironic at times, and I apologize, but I thank you for your response.
