What Happened To You??

Contributed by Serendippitty on Friday, 14th November 2003 @ 10:47:38 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

What happened to you?
You used to be so sweet
so careful of your reputation
always looking neat

Then you met him...
he gave you his attention
so what if he was good looking?
He didn't have good intentions

Then you began to ignore us
hanging out with his crowd,
doing illegal things
being boisterous and loud

Finally he began to put pressure
to do something you didn't want to do
Because you didn't want to lose it... did you?
It meant so much to you!

What happened to you?
I used to know you
but now you're a complete stranger
I don't even know what to say to you
He has been your changer

What happened to you?
You have a baby now
don't you wish
You'd thought
about all your decisions
and do what you've always been taught

Now you're the talk of the town
a good girl gone bad
all because of this boy who abandoned you,
and you've lost the one best friend...
that you used to have

I must agree your words ring true to me. People can always change again. With enough time all things change and so do people.
I like how it was written as well.

Wow I have experienced what you are writting about but the person who ran off from me came back and I gave them another chance, but they didn't stay the person that I knew and want them to be, they left again and changed and I was changing in my own way...your words are way too true and so painful in a way. This poem I love it. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Emma.

Don't be so hard on you.
You were truly sucked in
inexperienced with this rue!
I'm so sorry for you.....but you will mature...and overcome....Ask forgiveness from your friend...you really need her now.
My prayers are with you dear.
Hold you head high...there's no one that doesn't sin....and in the end you too will win!

Just to say... this poem is NOT about ME... it really is about my friend, just so no one else who reads this gets the misconception from my poem... okay? Once again... my friend is the one this happened to. I was the one who lost the friend!!

Poeple change that is the nature of things...I understand your anguish in being unable to do anything and the horror of watching your once good friend throw everything away and changing into the very worst thing a girl can be...I do not know how she changed...did you try to stop her?...if you did and she did not divert than it is perhaps her fault...But now I guess the question to ask is perhaps not if your friend changed...maybe it is better to ask do YOU want to change...in her time of need perhaps you can be the friend that you were or are and try to help her return to to the sensible again. Maybe she will again change to be a better person..if she still pushes you away..well times change and you should perhaps change with it and accept that she is no longer a friend...if not...well you will again have a friend and you will be a true friend in being there for a friend in need. Just a view...not to be taken seriusly for litigious reasons.
