I found him, Ma;
On the seafront,
That cold day in Spring-
Remember the rain and fight we had?
I was so mad,
I stormed out into the rain-
Hard to believe it's been more than a year...
We got a little house
Just around the corner from the sea-
Nearby is a tavern;
You'll find us there usually
On Wednesdays and Fridays-
The house is very cosy,
With French windows and everything;
At night people walking by
Can see us move about in the orange light-
He's so good to me,Ma,
And I'm very happy;
We're at that stage when
We don't need friends-
We play cards till the candles burn out,
And then-
Oh,Ma,if you could only see,
You could rest your weary eyes without worry-
You'd be happy for me...
