If I had tried any harder,
Would still you have lied?
If I had put forth more effort,
Would less tears now I'd have cried?
I made the decision,
And to it I must stand.
You fibbed plain and simple,
I cannot be a liar’s man.
Now if we are to be friends,
You must make the first move.
Even after all that has happened,
I cannot help but love you.
Now please understand what I say,
I cannot marry what I cannot trust.
Pain and heartache is what I'd get
So believability is a must.
You may never speak to me again,
If you didn't, I might cry.
But it was you, who caused this to happen,
Not I, Not I.

| i agree that you cannot marry a person who you can't trust but it is the same for others if they can't trust you. none the less good write. |
