Your Turn to Cry

Contributed by Cora-Windover on Thursday, 13th November 2003 @ 11:01:47 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I ask myself questions best answered by you
I ask myself what I'm expected to do
A sorrowful heart should be worth twenty screams
In the dead of the night, you'll be even with me

So feel the cut of my dark crystal blade
Feel the sorrow, and feel the pain
Fire for fire, an eye for an eye
You hurt me so deep, now it's your turn to cry

So lost, so alone, so decievers are born
I trusted too deeply to wait for your scorn
I gave you love and you gave me good-bye
In the dead of the night, I will make sure you cry

So feel the cut of my dark crystal blade
Feel the sorrow, and feel the pain
Fire for fire, an eye for an eye
You hurt me so deep, now it's your turn to cry

So scream it out, mercy, so mercy I give
With nothing more left but determined to live
Slowly I smile, and put out the light
I'll leave you alone in the dead of the night

So feel the cold of the darkest despair
Feel the pain in the frigid night air
Sadness for sadness, a lie for a lie
You left me alone, now it's your turn to cry.

*~*~*~*

Why are poems so depressing? I sat down at my computer and I thought, Okay, I'm going to write a happy poem. So I come up with this. o_O. Whatever.

The speed and the cleverness of this piece, does not lend its self to depression. Great poem...love it.
