Tears of Poetry

Contributed by doug on Wednesday, 12th November 2003 @ 06:02:18 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

she cries tears of poetry
out from her emerald eyes
she cries from her love for me
a love she can't deny

she stands and draws her curtains
her room engulfed in black
a flower dressed in sorrow
I'm never coming back

she weeps into her pillow
as I stand and watch above her
she cries tears of poetry
oh God how I did love her

the angels they are crying
the summer rains pour down
a flower dressed in sorrow
they put me in the ground

for it was in the summer
that I met with my demise
now she cries tears of poetry
out from her emerald eyes
