When the day is through,
And night comes to call,
We share our bed,
At the end of the hall.
The doubts and fears,
That feed on the day,
Are soon laid to rest,
Here they hold no sway.
Words of endearment,
Sweet-nothings we share,
They come so easily,
To show that we care.
Throughout the day,
We bicker and bite,
We say things that hurt,
Though we know it’s not right.
But here in the dark,
Inner beauty shines through.
Undeceived by mere sight,
We see what is true.
So take heart my love,
Let your heart race,
For my love remains true,
As we lie face to face.
