overload

Topic: SadPoetry

Tic toc, tic toc, all through the night and day
This image is stuck in my head
I try and try but still don't know what to say
Still wondering what it would be like dead
I'm trying to get the swagger I once had
A cheerful one instead of the one that leaves me sad
Deadlines, dinners, and oh don't forget lunch
They are all tied up in one lil bunch
Got me praying and sweatin for the 1st of the month
How long will I last in a world like this
All I want is the pain to be over with
A 40, a sweet, I need just a lil bit more
Something much stronger to get me off of this floor
Whatever it is I hope it comes fast
I don't know how long I can live with my horrible past
For my future is not too bright
I've lost my "Sparkle" that gave me the light
Too many questions and not enough answers
Got me in a corner like I have cancer
You just don't know what the future has in store
I don't really care I just want to be like an eagle and soar
To a far away place where people are happy
Or maybe into someone's arms
That will be so happy to hold me
All I know is that I'm living close to the edge
Out of luck like those close legs that don't get fed
I got a feelin that I'm straight out losing it
Unlike Hammer, I'm not too legit
I must move fast instead of moving slow
For I don't know which direction to go
The weather, the attitude, it's just too cold
For my heart is about to overload

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
