The fool

Topic: StoryPoetry

Once there once this guy
He thought he had everything planned out
All of a sudden appeared this gal lookin kinda fly
His blood started flowin wonderin what she was about

Weeks past and this guy grew attached to this girl
He practically gave her everything except diamonds and pearls
He showed her things that no other woman had seen
She even taught him not to be so mean

This guy pulled out all kinds of tricks
He was trying so hard to catch this nice fish
He used all kinds of bait
Making sure that everything was in its place

He poured out his heart from the start
A letter, a poem, a hello, a goodbye
It didn't matter day or night
He was just pleased with this wonderful sight

But one day he found out some bad news
This star that sparkled so bright
All of a sudden started acting rude
He had to hold on to his tears with all his might

How could something that was so good be so bad
What ever happened to the love he once had
Now all he has is regrets and sorrows
Not wanting to accept today and hates what's in store for tomorrow

This write sounds really familiar but I don't know in what way...like it reminds me of a song or another write or something...but anyway I thought this was a brilliant write although saddening. All the best.

Emma.
