E'en this a mask

E'en this a mask I wear
Behind, the face I fear to share.
I shan't render you my heart
To let you see this aweful part.
I hide again,
Oh e'er again
I keep you out
I keep you out.
Desperately longingly
maddeningly true
I want to take this mask
And dispatch it for you.
Yet feared am I.
Afraid you wont love me.
Feared am I
Afraid you would loathe me.
Thus e'en now
This cloak I bear.
E'en now
This mask I wear.

Beautiful poem....somtimes I wish we all could simply do away with the masks we wear. Awesome work! |
