Not in the mood to write at all
Sitting here staring at the wall
Music blazes that's all i hear
Light beams down from a yellow sphere
Air is bitter, mountain cold
Walls are white, bare, bleak, and bold
In this chamber slumber lies
Until the day my soul can rise
What's the point to get out of bed
To face the rush a pain in my head
Forcing myself to write like water up hill
A tilted glass will surely spill
Like the ink upon this page
My thoughts and feeling pent up in a cage
Sleep awaits at my mental gates
For a rest would be best
My lifes so fast past
Though it may seem other to your mind
I'm sick and weary of this grind
To brake free at last
Just in time
My mood my thoughts have left my mind

Dear Ben,
This poem is absolutely marvelous!
It's been many years since I came close to walking in your shoes.
But I remember the "teen-age" blues.
I raised four children of my own.
Each one different, had it's own poem.
Their minds all jumbled, and they felt all mumbled....they carried on...and I know you will too Ben....just coast...do everything that is expected of you....but just coast...one day your mind will clear....and you'll have a different view. Sharing this wonderful poem with us was very kind of you! Thank you Ben...you're our friend!
