The War called Life

Contributed by lil_angel on Saturday, 24th August 2002 @ 08:37:48 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Your eyes plea for me to help you
Help you find your way in the darkness
I reach out but you pull away
I reach out again and you ever so slightly reach back

I take your arm and pull you out of the fire
I start to clean and kiss your wounds
You wince in the pain
I hold you as you begin to break

As I hold you your eyes plead with me
I rub your sore areas
The areas sore from the war that you are fighting
The war called life

You see my eyes are hiding the pain
The wounds of this war
Then you begin to rub and kiss my wounds from this war
You want my pain to go away

I hold you close to me
Scared to let go scared things will go back to the way the used to be
For if they do I will surrender, give up on this war
We are fighting this war called life

How is it others appear not to be fighting this endless war?
Good write here, full of painful feeling.
Not sick at all, don't worry it's meaning is quite clear!

With love
Dean;-)

That was really good. It was sad and yet so full of emotion. Its as though I could feel your pain which I can. Excellant write. I really enjoyed your poem.
