A burning question of why,
why bother fighting at all.
Had hit absolute bottom
lost al in a whirlwind.
There is no longer a point
absolutely no reason at all.
Blazing so deeply inside
letting my fists fly.
A dark void within
and unable to shed a tear.
Yet somehow and still
I continue to rage.
Can feel myself dying.
With each passing moment
I can feel my spirit
burning brighter and brighter.
I need to know why
I'm unable to cry.
Above even that
why is it I fight
when I'm too tired to try.
The book of the faulty phoenix

I read your poem several times
and I think I know why.....you have a courageous heart!....You desire to give up, but you passionate heart wont allow....it wants you to live one even now!
Great thought provoking poem, Cobalt.
I enjoyed it.
