I wear my mask with perfection,
Paint my plastic smile,
Disguise my tear stained eyes,
Rid myself of pointless feelings,
And bury my true emotions.
But inside my heart is weeping,
And my soul is shattered,
Each day I struggle,
To suffocate this endless exhaustion.
This eternal feeling of abandonment,
Instils a permenant fear into my heart.
This unmoveable subconsious voice,
Begging to let the world see into my soul,
See through this perfect sharade,
Longing for this broken heart to heal,
To make my painted smile become real.

*nods in understanding*
i totally get this poem...it explains the way i have been feeling for the past four years...
I hate that I feel that way too...i do not like faking people out...but I think they would prefer to see me smile than upset...I have been upset around them before, and they did not know what to do...i didn't know what to do. heh.
