A friend like you is so hard to find.
One who is loving, forgiving and kind.
One who stands by me, when the going gets tough.
And makes me feel special, respected, and loved.

You patiently listen when I speak of my fears.
And without hesitation you wipe dry all my tears.
You encourage and help me, and don’t put me down.
Of all the friends in the world, you’re the best that I’ve found.

Then quite without warning, we were caught by surprise.
We knew we’d be lovers, by the looks in our eyes.
She’s beautiful, wonderful, and also quite smart.
Now my best friend also lets me call her sweetheart.

A sweet and loving poem
Simply beautiful
