Pure And True

Contributed by Emmie74 on Saturday, 13th July 2002 @ 07:16:05 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I thought I was over you
How do you do this to me?
How can I still love you
Why can't you love me?

This is a triangle of love
But im the third wheel
If I just left
Then true love would reveal

I shouldn't be the reason
For your unhappyness
This just makes me feel worse
To see that I'm ruining this

He's still in love with you
You know its true
You just don't want to admit it
Thats the one thing you don't want to do

Although yours grew
My heart shrunk
It shrunk
From being unloved

And here come the comments
"Oh, but you are loved Em!"
Not the way I want
Not the way I need

I need him now
In this time of lonelyness
I doubt you'd understand it
Thats one of the things that makes us different

See Dee,
We're not alike
We have differences
Just like all best friends do

But just once
I wish I was loved like you
We're both the left side
But you're the one thats pure and true

I love this poem, Em...but I just have to ask you...why did you not think I understood?
Love always,
Dee
