I’m so afraid I will make the wrong choice,
I’ve waited for this day to come
for what seems like forever.
I thought I always knew what I would say
if I ever got to have a relationship with you.
Now I’m scared
I want to know for sure
you really want me
I’ve seen you with other girls
seen how you’ve loved them
cared for them
I want the same thing
I want to be able
to be for sure
you see me
the real me
the person you’ve thought you’ve wanted to be with
I don’t want to have a regular relationship
I want this to be like nothing else I’ve ever experienced
I want to cry half the time
because I don’t know
if you know
how strongly I feel
I’m scared
I’m scared out of my wits
Do you know
What you mean to me?
I’ve cared for so long
Yet I don’t want us to be a mistake
What is going to be best for us?
Can you see
Me
A self conscience, slightly insecure girl
I appear happy most of the time
I’m very deep in thought
Though my words don’t always show it
I’ve loved you for so long
And now that I have even the slightest chance with you
I want us to be complete
I desire there to be a connection
Not a dreamed up one
A real one
I don’t want to rush us
I want you to be sure
That I’m not a rebound
That we aren’t using each other
That you really care
I want you to know what this relationship would truly be
Are you emotionally ready again?
To take a step into a relationship
Are you healed enough from the past relationship
To move on?
Not because you know you need to
But because you are ready
Because even though I’ve waited
I can still wait
Though I talk of urgency
I will wait, if that’s what it will take before you are ready
Because I really do love you
And I want you
Not what is left from past relationships
I don’t mean to sound selfish
If I do I apologize
I just want you to know for yourself
How you really truly feel
If time is still needed
Just say the word
I’ll be here
Waiting
For you
