Answer Me

Contributed by Asatru on Sunday, 9th November 2003 @ 07:39:18 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

This river inside of me runs overflowing,
Causing tumors,
Headaches,
And unknown waves,
A river raging of emotions,
That I try to dam up,
Unsuccessfully so,
As soon as I get the bucket back from the paper,
There's already dozens more,
Flowing,
Raging,
Taunting,
Haunting me,
Never letting me live as me,
Making me be who they form,
Whatever everyone makes them be,
Molds me,
As if I'm the ball of clay,
Molding of reactions,
Yess and nos,
Maybes and nevers,
Thrown in my head,
All raging at the color red,
Like a bull,
Straight for my heart,
Glass glazed heart,
Seeping through,
Creeping in my viens,
Soaring from brain to heart,
Flowing in my stream of blood,
Blood of others then only red,
This endless supply,
Is never enough,
Nothing is EVER enough,
No amount of emotions spilled out of my stream,
The never-ending word of love for you,
Never able just to take you home,
Hand in hand,
Emotions over flowing,
Head spinning,
Left hand sweat filled,
Just to tell you goodnight,
For a possible kiss,
But it isn't required,
Just longed for,
I just have a question tickin like a bomb,
Remaining in a song long written,
Title as the chorus,
What Do I Have To Do,
Such a great question,
But can even you answer me,
As I sit her shaking,
Rocking madly back and forth waiting eggerly for your answer,
Wanting the answer to be nothing,
And not nothing at the same time,
Not to "earn" you,
To have you like me,
Love me if at all possible,
Nothing desired because it means I've got you,
Nothing hated because it means I can't get you,
But don't I deserve a chance,
One shot,
One single swing at the bat,
Not to hit a homerun but to be walked to first,
Because that is all the time I desire with you,
Granted or not,
I sit here and wait,
But one final question remains,
Shall I be answered?
Or should I never promise again,
Promise I love you,
Love talking to be you,
Looking at you,
Being with you,
Love getting one word in with you,
Never to reap what I soe,
Never having a word thrown,
An I glanced from,
Ever being talked to,
Left inside a deeper,
Darker hole,
So bright,
Too much light,
Too lost,
Too gone,
To find a word,
One word found never good enough for you,
Never returned to me,
One word remains work,
To be worked on,
More complex then any engine,
Figuring out what goes on,
In the mind of an angel,
Knowing or even trying a guess,
At what she's guessing,
Or does such a perfect creature have to guess?
