?-?rs on my lips I taste.
On bended knee I wrap around your waist.
With spirit broken I softly plea,
Won’t you please forgive and just love me?
You answer me with a cold dead stare.
Where your mind is dear I know not where.
I’d do anything to reenter your heart.
I want to try, but don’t know where to start.
In the harshest tones that I’ve heard you speak,
You snap at me, while I’m feeling weak.
I can barely stand this hateful scorn.
It makes me wish I was never born.
With bitter tones you say we’ll try.
But it sounds much more like you wish I’d die.
I suspect I’m no longer your friend.
It sounds to me like you wish it would end.
If I am wrong and it’s just my mind,
Playing lovers tricks of the very worst kind.
Then before it ends or gets even worse,
Won’t you help me write a new lover’s verse?
