Is this how Love Goes

I always think about our younger years,
which I've forever held dear.
It was always you and me.
Hanging out and being free,
I don't know if my heart will ever heal.

So why did you run away,
why did you turn away.
You ripped my heart out,
I've given you all my love, so I have no more to give out.
Where is the love I thought you were going to bring?

But no matter what I do
all I think about is you
I want you to be the one
I share my life with.
We never know what the future will bring.

Your name echos in my head
it follows me to bed,
you're in my dreams
yet you still frustrate me so much I want to scream.
Your all that I want.

My heart has told me
that we are meant to be.
You have no idea what you mean
to me
I don't know how this is supposed to be.

Because if you aren't the one for me
then why do you hold my heart's key.
You're here today,
My soul feels glad, all because you're looking my way.
Do you know how you make me feel?

Wow, this is something I really needed to read. Had the very same feelings a few times, and I haven't been able to really put them into words. This is a great write, thank you so much for sharing it.
