Sunlight To Moonlight

Contributed by Emmie74 on Saturday, 13th July 2002 @ 07:13:06 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Keep against my skin
Your touch is irrisistable
Keep me warm, 'cause without you I will freeze

You are my light
My source of energy
The one thing I can't live without

I love the golden glow you bring
The green leaves, the blue sky
The peaceful silence of an evening star

You make me happy
Whenever your around
Your the one that gives me that lasting smile

I will never replace you
But you do have an equal
And that equal is your oppisite

She is the light in the midst of a darkness
On the otherside while you are here
She comes while you are gone

She is my comfort
In a true time of sadness
For she too has been betrayed

We whisper and gossip under the starlight
She tells me secrets of things to come
As I tell her secrets of things that have been

We sit in the twilight
Fantasizing, and dreaming of things
That can never and will never be

But do not be jealous
For I love you equally
You both bring out different things in me

Hey...you know what I just realized? Remember the whole light in the dark thing from our moment in the tent? In this poem, you called me "the light in the midst of a darkness"...how creepy is that?
Love always,
Dee
