Bound to me

Contributed by katzie on Friday, 7th November 2003 @ 08:43:15 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I watch from my foggy window
Sitting silently within my dimly lit home
Watch you trapse through winter snow
I know your loves an incurable syndrome

I watch intently as you approach my door
Quite excited in your new-found hope
I wish that you would pursue me no more
For with me you would be unable to cope

I arise from my seat and open the door
I smile, appearing to enjoy it as surprise
You quickly whisk me across the floor
And reveal to me what you are to demise

She told me it would bind us forever
Is what you told me, so you said
I find it quite worth it to endeavor
It was a road I feared to tread

T'was not myself I had fear for
But for the one who stood before me here
I had problems I knew I could not ignore
But I could not explain, could not make clear

Solomnly I agreed to his proposal
He opened the vial, I looked away
He knew not his life was at my disposal
I felt my heart sink to dismay

We shared a final drink together
Tears streamed from my eyes as I watch him fall
I watch as his eyes close forever
If only I could have told him about all

For when from the vial he did drink
T'was true forever he was bound to me
It was impossible for him to think
For my mind it struggles, never free

The pain in my head is harshly retained
And unfortunately to strong for him
But as he fell the pain was all sustained
The problems they all seemed to grow dim

I sigh as another one falls
I really liked this one
To my mind this happening appalls
But unfortunately the deed was done.
