patiently waiting

Contributed by c on Thursday, 6th November 2003 @ 10:45:57 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

my hands are tired, weary and sore
yet i will continue forever more
patiently knocking at your door
only you can let me through

what am i still standing here for?
i know your heart is tangled and tore
without my love, you are but poor
that's why i died for you

your sins are now on the ocean floor
and my love is all that floats ashore
now on my wings you can soar
and live with my love so true

yet you see loving me as some type of chore
your human shoes i once wore
still i appear to you as a supernatural bore
there's so much i wish you knew

if only you'd see to open the door
i'd show you my scars and crown of thorns
all the love and acceptance that could be yours
i'm still patiently waiting for you

I'll have to agree, that rhyming was fabulous =) I just loved it
At first I thought you were talking about us though. When I started reading I thought you meant WE keep knocking on GOD's door.... but the confusion ended quickly =)
I really love your writing so far, c.... I've read your first now, and I've yet to read your third. So here goes

God bless,
Jelly
