Across the meadow
Floating above the trees
A glow, pure yellow
The sky, clear and blue
Streaks of pink and purple in the distance
Night comes, fresh and new
Across from the sun
The moon, already up
Sits waiting for the day to be done
"Do not leave me," I ask
"For when dusk comes, I must go"
These fears I must mask
Into darkness we go
Yet the feel of safety stays
As time goes by
Let it flow
