Topic:
war

Why can’t everyone get along?
I just don’t see why that’s so wrong.
We argue about the small stuff,
While trying to act, oh so tough.
Why can’t hatred and war cease?
So we can all just live in peace.
The youth of our nations cry.
We all don’t really want to die!
This is our plea…
We just want to be able to run free.
We don’t want to face war,
Every time we try a new door.
It all begins to cloud my mind,
I’m afraid of the future for what I might find.
On our own we make no gain,
But God above sees our pain.
He loves us all,
And all our names he tries to call.
He constantly tries to relieve,
Even though not all believe.
You may not understand too clearly,
But He loves us all quite dearly.
I was born into this place,
Never guessing what I must face.
The man on TV tells me,
What our world has come to be.
Love is gone, replaced with hate,
Just perhaps, this is my fate.
Those who came before this generation,
Must have already chosen our destination.
It isn’t fair,
But do they care?
Obviously not,
Cause if they did, they would have fought,
For the very best for you and me;
And not have left us here to be.
But this is my life and I’ll live it well,
Cause I don’t want to burn in hell.
I had no choice,
But one day they’ll hear my voice.
Saying out into the crowds,
That have all gathered ‘round.
The youth of the nations will cry out,
Everyone will hear us shout.
“Let us be free!
Please, I beg of thee,
We are the youth of tomorrow,
But our hearts are filled with sorrow.
So why can’t hatred and war cease,
So just for a moment, we can all experience real, live, peace?”

I liked the writing and message but if you wanted to pose a question I would take it to the forum as I am used to talking about this and it's not just what it seems.... Just my opinion though. Like I said it is an excellent write and message. |

I do apolagize for how my post sounded. I liked the write and the message and that part I don't change. I was just suggesting that this would make a great forum topic. Also I was saying that people might say that there are different reasons for why we have war. I don't think it is always over hatred. I am sorry if my comment sounded bad.
