Not Who You thought I was

Contributed by katzie on Wednesday, 5th November 2003 @ 05:00:58 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Today ya might find something out,
A lil' somethin bout me
Shut your mouth and listen up
Quit bein blind and see

Ya think that you can keep me here
If i never find you out
Ya think that I ain't been listnin
Well I know all about
The things that you been sayin bout me
Behind those closed locked doors
Well I'm through with puttin up with you
I Ain't takin any more!

I ain't who you thought I was,
I aint your sideline amusement
When all your so-called friends are gone
I ain't gon' be left for choosin
I aint just here to help you out,
See I got problems too
And to be quite honest Honey,
my biggest problems You.

When you and I were all alone
'N we saw eye to eye
You were all I'd ever ask for baby,
better than money'd buy.
But now I see it's all an act,
'cause when others are around,
You make poor jokes on my account,
and always puttin me down.

Well I aint here for your sideline amusement
I aint who you thought I was
I aint here for you to push around,
Like everyone always does.

It's time for me to settle this score;
you think I'm already losin'
But baby you'd better watch your back,
This time I ain't here for usin!

Don't dare go tellin me you're sorry;
Excuses for abusin,
I ain't listnin anymore hun,
Your lies are not amusing.

I'm starting over
Just let go
Ain't no way you're gettin back in;
You think you know me oh-so-well..
but baby I will win.

Your tricks are over
Your triumphs lost
There ain't no use keepin' goin.
All those years my wasted tears
kept my anger overflowin.
May anger gave me power
and the courage that I lacked;
Don't mess with me now baby
cause there ain't no holdin back!

Because Honey....
You don't know me.
Not the one you thought you knew.
But don't go callin me the liar.
The one at fault... is you.
