Feeling Dark

Contributed by Wolfareen on Wednesday, 5th November 2003 @ 01:51:01 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Alone in my world,
I wait for love,
For heaven's great blessing,
To rain down from above.

Something coats my body,
Keeps me outside,
This longing in me,
Should long since have died.

Grey is my world,
No substance, just air,
The control inside me,
Just longing to tear.

Maybe if I scream,
They'll hear my call,
Come to catch me,
When I stumble and fall.

I'd like to see colour,
Feel the warmth of a kiss,
Can't someone show me?
What is it I miss?

Am I so hideous?
Am I so dull?
I drift through the crowds,
Cloaked in cotton wool.

I can't hear the words,
I can't see the scene,
Like a ghost, I wait,
For the light to go green.

I need to feel,
I need to be,
With no-one to love me,
I'm shelled out for eternity.

LOVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
