Stalactite

Contributed by Avarice_Riot on Wednesday, 5th November 2003 @ 07:41:11 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Talking to my ghosts again
Falling through the roof again
The frostbite cuts through the heart like
Stalactite through a stone
And hey lover
You it's gonna end
like this anyway, like

Pieces of you, pieces of me
Glow in the dark like hell's looking in
And the best part of this is
I'm selling my soul
Aren't you
Aren't you coming into hell with me?

(And heaven will freeze over)

Saw another satyr on the highway
Made me want to sex my way
through the day
I see you coming down the stairs
And I want you even more
Even more on my throne
Cause hey my dear
We know it's gonna end
like this anyway

Pieces of you, pieces of me
Glow in the dark like hell's looking in
And the best part of this is
I'm selling my soul
Aren't you
Aren't you coming into hell with me?

And you know...we were never
meant for heaven anyway

Pieces of you, pieces of me
Glow in the dark like hell's on a roll
And the best part of this is
I'm selling my soul
And the best part of this is
I'm losing control
Aren't you
Aren't you coming into hell with me?

And heaven will freeze over
And heaven will freeze over
And heaven will freeze over
(We were never meant for heaven anyway)
And heaven will freeze over
And heaven will freeze over
And heaven will freeze over
(We were never meant for heaven anyway)

Hey! Glad you're back with new poems! Interesting song.. Sorry to hear that your friend has passed away. So what style of music this song has?

I love this song ... the words are awesome, with an undercurrent of pain ... it must have been such a moving experience to write this with your friend ... I'm sure he/she would have loved how you finished it ... Jan

ps.... love the title too - very ingenious :)
