Your big, round russet eyes - so kind
They say so much when you look at me
Telling me easily what's on your mind
Devotion so enduring it's heaven-sent
Standing beside me and sticking close by me
Even with age your mind is still intelligent
Keeping yourself committed to my scent
Protective is your soul, knowing only instinct
Relying on each and every movement
With senses that I'm jealous of
My beloved friend and companion
You're always good company my love
I call you over and you are there
Eager to please, as always
Yes, my precious I even love your stare
Black and white and fur all over too
Beautiful when you talk and grin
No other collie on the border has anything on YOU.
I love you - you silly dog ("JAZZ")!

I knew as soon as I read "russet eyes" it was Jazz you were writing about. Thank goodness our dogs don't judge us but just love us no matter what. Thanks for sharing this one, I love it!
Love you babygirl,
