it's a virtue after all

Topic: SadPoetry

Have you heard of patience? ‘Tis all I know.
Waiting for something, something for you to show
I yearn for genuine feelings, but lost thoughts muddled in my heart just peeling.
Stripped of my armor, my heart rests still, open for anything, hoping for truth, but nothing to fit its fill.

My own demise brought on by my stance. I love you, as I hope you still do.
I wish to tell you these lies, but this virtue continues.
Will it save me? This virtue after all, is it at all true? Patience I must hold for our relationship to grow. But I need you to give me the love that lovers show.

I’ll give it a second glance, a chance for love, but show me you care.
Giver me a reason, to run hand through hair.
Kiss thy lips, and one will touch thy heart.
Patience takes to long, for this organ is torn apart.

Nicely written . . . quite powerful and emotional. Great job; keep it up. I hope all turns out well, in regard to the subject of this . . .
