We are all alone

Topic: MiscPoems

You can have friends galore
You can have a big family
There are many people who care about you
But in the end you are all alone, can't you see

No one knows what's in your heart
No one understands your darkest fears
They can only know what you care to share
And even than, don't understand your tears

I know this sounds so negative
But if you knew what I know, you would agree
No one can live your life for you
No one can set you free

They say they understand
They say they know what you feel
But they have their own lives to live
Their own fears and demons to kill

You can't live your life for someone else
They can't tell you how to grow up strong
You must stand on your own two fet
What's right for someone else, for you is all wrong

You must face your own fears
You must stand tall and alone
Just take one day at a time
And head off into the unknown

I can really relate to this poem. I have that tendency to live my life for someone else not realizing that they have thir own lives. Im trying to get over this but its hard.

Gre at poem!
