Don't ask why we didn't
just remember your words.
What we are now
is because we did not.
Knew long ago
what I would do
knowing back then
that one day
I would give to so many
Can never be with anyone
for always I am alone.
No matter what
I've felt for another
I knew its how I had to be
So darlin' don't question
why we never
for in truth you know why
For if you must know
Then for you I shall tell
I'm not what you want
or ever have needed.
But to tell you the truth
you know that I love you.
