Remember to Count Your Blessings*

Contributed by Glo on Monday, 3rd November 2003 @ 07:37:30 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Have you ever stopped and wondered, just where we would be?..........
Without the many Blessings bestowed to you and me?
So many times, so many things we often take for granted,
For instance......talk of picking fruit from the tree, before it's even planted.

An Apple Tree needs lots of love and care, just like you and I........
To bring forth a most bountiful fruit under God's blue skies.
We have so many things to be truly thankful for........
Let's continue on, I'll give you a few reasons more.

Everyone who laid down to sleep lastnight, didn't wake up today,
A family who once was homeless, now has a place to stay.
The elderly lady who lives alone, take time to stop and talk awhile..........
She use to be sad and lonely,
Because of you she now has a reason to smile.

Sometimes things happen in our lives, there is no rhyme nor reason,
Remember what the Good Book says,"To everything there is a Season!"
It' only on the darkest nights we see stars twinkling hight above...............
To remind us in our hours of grief, that this glowing light we shine,
Is a light called love.

Blessings comes in many ways, no matter how great or small.
Please hang on to this thought should your world start to crumble and fall.
Remember to count your Blessings, not just at bedtime.......................
Or after every meal.
Most of all remember that " Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal!"

I am Truly Blessed!
