If I could go back in time
There's a place I'm sure you'd find me
Just a little place out North of town
Not good farmin' it was rocky ground
But Papa did his best and raised a family
Oh-oh-oh Oklahoma memories
Oh-oh-oh we were young and we were free
Well he taught us well the Golden Rule
And we got our learnin' in a one room school
Times were hard back then but we never knew
Gave Jesus my heart when I was three
'Cause I heard about at my Mama's knee
How those Oklahoma memories call to me
Oh-oh-oh Oklahoma memories
Oh-oh-oh we were young and we were free
Went to Baptist Mission, just an ole time church
Where the choir would sing just one more verse
I surrender all my Lord to thee
It was all day singing with dinner on the ground
Mama would pass fried pies around, we'd sing 'til it got dark then head on home
Oh-oh-oh Oklahoma memories
Oh-oh-oh We were young and we were free
And if I could go back in time
There's a place I'm sure you'd find me
Oklahoma still calls to me.
