How to Dump a Girl

Contributed by norm on Monday, 3rd November 2003 @ 09:52:49 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

My ladylove put on her glove
one cloudy, grayish, morn,
She said she'd go before the snow
I broke into a yawn.

Go, my love. before I shove,
Your welcome has expired,
Your face and form is not for norm
Of you, I'm getting tired.

"The years I gave you were my best",
My ladylove bespoke,
I'm sure not far in back her mind,
She'd like to have me choke.

Let's be fair, I put to you,
There comes a time for change,
Her past allure, no longer sure,
I have her out of range.

If shoe were on the other foot,
She would vituperate,
But I'm too sweet, to verbal beat,
This woman out of date.

All you femmes, don't waste your time
The error of my ways,
Point not it out, nor should you shout,
My mind is in a haze.

If you girls, a guy to dump,
You'd do it in a sec,
It'd matter not, you'd let him rot,
Including if you wreck.

Let's stop the talk, please do not balk,
It's friends that we could be,
And act ourselves, like little elves
Around a Christmas tree.

Oh deear oh dear what circumstance
to leave without a backward glance
as though t''were but a merry dance
round you go then off you prance.

Could i remember but a few
where I have closed the book like you
and lost what was a love so true
to lust after some body new

Alas the years have wiped the page
wherein such charades oft were played
and each a different serenade
for assignations easy made

Wrybod writes a conformation
of a well-known situation
where a body decides to split
two of us no holy writ.

But as he says the sands of time
make us deal in less than slime
Goody, goody, we become
less and less we act a bum.

And so the moral on the phone
age removes testesterone,
But catch you in the after life
We'll play doctor or play wife.
