A Tale With No Name

Contributed by 13hopes on Monday, 3rd November 2003 @ 06:08:36 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

He was doing what he does, doing his best.
Doing what he loves, looking after the rest.
He sees them all come and watches them go.
He did not worry, his patience grows.
A lonely lad with a heart of gold.
Only to dream of the one he will hold
He knew not where to look, not where to seek.
He knew one would come, one he would keep.
Only one made him smile, one made him laugh.
One made his night, hoping she was right.
He knew what was wrong, he turned her away.
Told her to walk there is another day.
She came once again, he saw her in line.
He could all but smile, he felt on cloud nine.
She kept on coming, he kept on smiling.
In his darkness, she kept on shining.
He has a demon, he gave his word.
This demon he has, its voice he heard.
His weakness came in, she he hurt.
She showed her care, he was caught unaware.
He knows life goes on, she will always be there.
Sometimes he feels life is unfair.
These are his thoughts, he wishes to share.
These thoughts that he has will remain untold
He wishes inside, she is the one he will hold.
He felt her touch, he heard those words.
He wants her touch, he wants those words.
A resignation he fears is fate.
His heart tells him to wait.
He meets her soon, he fears her touch.
He wants to hold who he loves to much.
To be the one she will hold.
He plods along and does his thing,
Waiting for a message or his phone to ring.
He will come to her, he will hold her right.
All he wants is to do her right.
He said goodbye it makes him sad.
If friends it is, then friends it will be.
If friends it is he will wait and see.
He trusts his instincts, he believes in fate.
Only one thing that kills him, only the wait.
Until then time will tell,
Her name to this tale,
Will finish it well.
The name he wants, the name to give
Till that day, this tale will live.
From his heart this tale he writes,
He dreams this night her name to write.
He wakes to find only night.
