My words are my power
Evil leans over me like a tower
Im in a constant shadow dark as night
In this void I have lost all sight
Nothing can get me out of this fight
My words are my light
I hear screams all around this place
Where they come from I can find no trace
But wait I think yes they are coming from me
Only with my words I can see
My writing takes me away from here
My words make my heart feel clear

Yes, writing is my escape too........ Writing just lets it all out, doesn't it? I like this write better than "This Place called Earth" (I think that's what it's called).... This one's got a style I can go with..... I'm too much of a perky person for dark poetry =)
But I like them both, it's just that this one really hits home.
Great job on this (and the other).
