A JUMP THROUGH

Contributed by jaeann on Saturday, 1st November 2003 @ 10:58:19 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The innocence
of the flame
as it
transcends
my darkness...
has never
been
lost on me.

Mesmerizing myself
to
escape....
escape my
crushing
loss of balance.

I dance
with the flickering
light...
lost to the
heat of the flame.

Willing
me to touch...
just once
to feel
the burning
pain....
to know
how my soul
feels
watching
my mind
grow
dark.

Feeling
the fall,
the
tumble
of will....
the tricks,
the hoops
of
broken sanity.
