Everyday she's getting worse,
and it's hard to watch.
She's 85 years old,
and can't remember who she is.
When I go to see her,
she asks me,
over and over,
who are you.
I just say,
I'm your grand daughter Brittany,
and sit and talk with her.
I know it's got to be hard for her,
she was always the independent type.
But i'm glad that she's still happy,
and in my life.

It's great how pain and sadness can inspire such a nice poem. I give it a 3.9 on the Nortiscale. |

Oh, sugar, my grandmother has the beginnings of Alzheimers. I can tell this will happen soon for her too. It's not easy I can suspect. I send you my love.
Hugs,
Jellybelly |
