Wild Side

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Saturday, 1st November 2003 @ 01:30:35 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I’ve spent my whole life
Being a good girl,
Never breaking the rules
I was looked up to,
And idolized
By a number of different fools

But now I got some
Indescribable
Things I wanna try
And I think for the first time,
I actually want to live
On the wild side

I wanna risk it all
And have a good chance
At falling on my face
Just to feel
The rush you get
When your heart begins to race

I wanna sneak out
Passed what it is law
And run screaming down the road
To feel for once,
Like I’m alive
And filling up my soul

If I were to be caught
Red-handed with
Nobody to break my fall
I’d just laugh it off
Cause I know
That I’m willing to risk it all
Just to live on the wild side

geez...do i know how that feels.
i'm sick of people always thinking i'm just the "good girl"...or the "happy-go-lucky" girl.
i hate those titles...no one know's what's going on in my head...how much i want to break loose! But I hold myself back...my stupid conscious always telling me consequences...i wish i could handle being arrested...being able to laugh it off...but i don't think i could..and that's why i'm locked up and such a "gooide"...bleh.

I'd love to tell you to just go for it but I've seen the consequences first hand. I liked the poem but I can't relate and can't remember the last time I could. I guess as long as you don't hurt anyone then to hell with it let loose and go for it.
