I am sitting in the crowd
Listening to the primeval thump
Of an inclement drum
I wipe my mouth
Yet the wetness does not leave it
My sleeve is red-stained
And the mob turn and stare
I am the outsider
I am the one with blood on her mouth

There is no such thing as a crappy poem...they appeal to the types of readers.
:)
just know, i like this poem...and it's a brilliant, to the point look of how people who are different are treated...I appreciate it, because i know what it's like to be different. I guess you might say, physically i have no blood on my lip, but mentally...i'm dying from blood loss.

I agree it's not craptastic lol. I think its pretty good. Almost has a vampiric feel to it but maybe it's just me. I mean the whole blood thing... Lol sorry. |
