Mention the words, they turn away
Ignore what you were trying to say
They can't accept the words they hear
Can't face the truth, can't face the fear
You thought that they were your true friends
But now you watch the 'friendship' end
How can they look you in the eye
When they've just spread those hurtful lies?
Their words, their stares; they cut you deep
The promises: too hard to keep
The many tears that you have cried
Taught you to keep the pain inside
Until you're home, so safe, alone
And then you let your feelings go
The painful tears roll down your cheek
There's no one now to call you weak
It's scaring you, the things you feel
Your mind, it's starting to unpeel
The thoughts of death again creep in
And this time you have given in...

This is a great poem that expresses true feeling in a way that most people can not. |
