Perfect

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Friday, 31st October 2003 @ 05:45:32 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You got the life,
That everyone only dreams of
And all you seem to do is complain
While I’m standing behind you,
Only wanting to know the feeling
That you must retain

Some things I don’t see
Until the time comes
When it’s too late
But you’ll never know
What it’s like
To feel like people overrate

You’re more than amazing
In the eyes of all
Who come before you
And you’ll never know
What it’s like
To have people ignore you

I know I’m not good enough
To be called
At least your friend
You may appear
To tolerate me
But I can tell that you pretend

Sorry, I’m not like you
Sorry, I can’t compare
But if you took the time to know to me
Maybe you’ll see that something’s there
While you sit high above the world
Basking in all your respect
I sit in the cold darkness
Knowing I can’t be perfect

I liked it but I feel you need to know appearances can be deceiving. I hate praise anyways at least about something that takes no effort... I think I'll leave it at that.

No one can be perfect, we were just not made like that. Very well written.
