ode to the first

Topic: LovePoetry

the tears that never came
that you said whould always be
no one said
it would hurt
but
some how the pain
wasn't enough to stop me
from wantin' it
again and again
even though
you went on
leavin' me behind
i was only there for a good time

why did i get infatuated
you were so cool
and as if
you didn't care
i was always
nothin' to you

you felt the passion
and pleasure
and i was thrown
into a deep depression
didn't want to move
didn't want anything
but
to lay on my bed
and sleep
b/c i just couldn't cry

do you know
i put myself through
wantin'
needin' you
i thought
i loved you
i was a fool
makin' myself
suffer so much
it wouldn't of been worth
the tears

how can i look back
and think
you were anything
but an angel
b/c
you really were
you never hurt me once
i made all the pain

why did i think
that you and me
would be forever
or atleast
for time
just cause
we shared some nights
together

the first
is always the hardest
to get over
you stole my heart
in that instant
and you'll always hold
a piece

so
treat it well
don't abuse it
b/c
it will always say
i love you
that you're the best
even if i stop thinkin' it

it will always remember
those nights
the hot tub and the dorm
and the bedroom
the goodtimes

so
hold it tight
and smile
i'll always be your boi
your very own lil' twinkee

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
