There's a nip in the weather,
My shoes have a nip in their leather.
There's a nip in my critters,
they can't stand still for the jitters!
I smell the nip from the branches of bare trees,
and the leaves that they burn smell the air?
The birds feel the nipping,
and the squirrels are
stripping, acorns from the trees!
There's a nip in the breeze,
and a nip in the water well.
Nips on the flowers, in the valley and vale.
Nips on bushes, and nips on the grass.
Ole Jack Frost returns and nips on our glass!
We can't sleep 'cause of the nipping,
When awake we're sipping, and tipping....
The Sun is nipping us too!
Sending Sun storms to nip us through!
Can't find the moon, he's nipping behind
clouds and slowly slipping.
Winter is appoaching, and nipping at our heels.
Tomorrow brings the snow, then we'll be sipping,
dipping, dripping, slipping, and gripping!
After all this nipping comes Winter Here!
and a Happy Nipping New Year!
