Moondance

Contributed by lovingwhispers on Wednesday, 29th October 2003 @ 10:24:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Now beneath the moon I sway
A dance of heart,in silent play
To hold so near what must leave soon
An old familiar aching tune

Upon red roses,my feet are jewelled
A thorny bed for teary pools
That form as deep as oceans blue
Liquid form of me and you

Shared between the night and day
Time that quickly fades away
Until before me,silence wakes
And in a wink,my smile it takes

Dream say you,and dream I shall
But dreams I will not chase
For pursuing all my heart desires
Leads me to a tear stained face

Upon the dust of fairytales
Moonbeams and shiny stars
I have danced the velvet skies
Searching near and far

Falling after many trips
Failing in my search
I have learnt to dance my best
With these dreams on earth

Both feet on the ground
Jewelled and unabound
I will search no more for love
I will wait for mine to be found

Now beneath the moon I sway
A dance of heart,in silent play
With heart at peace and dreams asleep
My tears won't fall,my soul I'll keep

my beautiful friend , you could tame the wildest heart, sooth what never could be in one with your work. don`t mean to sound gushy! but this poem has taken mine away.
what a beautiful haunting song you sing with these words. "this comment is more than I write in my poems" great work, Crow
