A soft whimper escapes my lips
I always knew I can’t do this
Curl up in a ball, cover my eyes
Stay there forever, waiting to die
Pull away from everything I know
Run from where I am, run from where I go
Always must I look behind me one last time
My paranoia of what’s not there, will cause me to lose my mind
Please catch my hand, please help
Before I fall into myself.
Hiding within, for all time
Terrified of what’s inside my mind.

| How about "Reach Back"? Why? Don't know, that's what it reminded me of. Someone reaching out, unsure if the recepient is willing to take a chance and reach back. |
